Thailand - A Place To Visit

Thailand, the perfect place to visit for hot, sunny holidays.

After traveling a lot to Thailand and around the country I want to share some of my experience with you. You can find almost everything you want there except snow.

When you plan your trip to Thailand there are 3 usual places to arrive, Bangkok, Phuket or Chang Mai.

If you arrive in Bangkok you are in the middle of the country and have lots of opportunities from there. Bangkok is a huge city with lots of people (estimated 12 million with tourists) and it is a very busy place to stay for a long period. There are a few things that should be seen in Bangkok and one of them is Grand Palace. To get in there you need to follow the rules of clothing (shorts is not allowed in there). A boat trip on the river is very nice and you can see a t from the boats. Bangkok also have great opportunities for shopping with many huge shopping centers. When you stay in Bangkok, make sure you also visit the floating market and the Silom area. From Bangkok the drive is not far to the party place Pattaya or the quiet city of Hua Hin.

If you arrive in the south of Thailand, Phuket, you will find a more quiet place with great beaches. The area in the south also offers a lot of sights. If you go south and want to go for a party you can visit Patong, which is a smaller scaled Pattaya. The south of Thailand has the same temperatures as the central parts of the country, but the south is a bit more wet and rainy. While staying in south you should consider a trip to the many islands, you will find a lot of great untouched nature there.

The north of Thailand i quite different from the other 2 places. The temperatures are lower there and the air feels more fresh. Chang Mai is the biggest city, but Chang Rai is also of a certain size. The north can not offer sea and beaches like the central parts and the south, but they have a lot of great nature. It is known to be a very "green" area, some people call it the lounges of Thailand.

This was just a short summary from my trips in Thailand, and after visiting the country lots of times I will very strongly recommend it to absolutely everyone.

Money Number One in Thailand

If ever "money number one" was set in time as a national catch cry, it would have to be in Thailand where the phrase "money number one" is used countless times daily by many of the Thai people in dealing with the thousands of foreign tourists they regularly encounter.

Neil Hutchinson, an Aussie expat living in Pattaya has been instrumental in writing a series of books around the money number one catch cry, which have become extremely popular best sellers in recent years...

The first of the books actually entitled "Money Number One", was first penned some years ago and has been updated several times to suit the ever changing influx of emotionally and sexually starved hordes of single men who have made places like Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Sumui, Chiang Mai and of course Bangkok among others, a regular "watering hole" over the past 50 years or so.

While the Money Number One Books including his other titles such as "A Fool in Paradise", "The Fool is Back" and "A Fools Diary" are written somewhat tongue in cheek, they epitomize the humor in the sometimes ridiculous and other times tragic relationships which spring up between the local inhabitants and the dyed in the wool westerners who attempt to introduce western cultural ways and ethics into a society based on thousands of years of immense cultural difference where money number one has been a way of life long before the modern western man set foot in the beautiful country known as Thailand.

Mainly set in the seaside resort city of Pattaya situated on the eastern seaboard of The Gulf Of Siam in Southern Thailand, the stories contained within the Money Number One book series and their corresponding sequels and additions, vary in length and subject but are all for the most part based from true instances and events gathered over the years by Neil's own personal experiences and those of others either relayed to Neil or told in person in one of the many bars and haunts he frequents in order to carry out his somewhat clandestine research.

Dubbed by many as "The Single Man's Survival Guide to Pattaya" and "The Pattaya Bible" the Money Number One series are a recommended read by thousands of experienced Thailand visitors both male and female when advising potential new visitors about the who, what, where and whys of Thailand long before the bags are packed to go, and indeed long after they have been unpacked on their return home.

Although the Money Number One books are available in paper back from the shelves of many of Thailand's reputable book stores, they can sometimes be a little late to procure in order to learn the valuable lessons contained within them after arriving in Thailand and are now available for instant download in PDF format.

Sago Palm Care, Plant Shade Trees for Beauty and Comfort

There are many types of shade trees which are ideal for planting around your home, or on your sidewalk. Every variety has its own unique gifts, but to make sure you find the one that suits you and your home perfectly, choose carefully. Trees are an ideal way to make your home, your street, even your neighborhood more attractive. Besides the beautiful ambiance created by a grove of shade trees or a tree lined street, trees provide shade and protect us and our pets from the heat and rays of the sun. You will want to choose a tree that will give you pleasure all year long. You can do this be being aware of the color of the tree, its foliage, flowers if any, its bark, shape, texture and eventual size.

You can find shade trees that will fit perfectly in their surroundings by adding the right shape to an empty spot, since they can be oval, columnar, pyramidal, conical or weeping in shape. You must look at a tree for each and every one of its qualities. Important considerations are the rate of growth, how much shade it provides, colors throughout the year, hardiness, maintenance requirements and whether you can use herbicides with it. You also need to make sure your land can provide the proper soil and aeration conditions and that your lot and house is suited for the branching habit of the particular tree. You want to be careful not to plant trees that can be easily damaged by storms, or that produce messy fruit or seeds. As a rule, fruit trees are not used as shade trees, but planted in groves or orchards for the purpose of producing fruit.

There are many trees that are planted because they produce beautiful flowers, but may not serve the purpose of shade trees because they do not reach the proper height. Common trees used as shade trees are: oak, maple, ash, birch, beech, sycamore, larch, linden and chestnut. There are some lesser known varieties that also serve well as shade trees: hackberry, ginko, Chinese chestnut, katsura, Kentucky coffee and hop hornbeam. The type and amount of shade provided by a shade tree can vary greatly. A Norway maple, for example, gives a such a heavy shade that grass cannot grow under it. The honey locust and the larch, because of the shapes of their leaves, give a light, speckled shade. If you are looking for shade trees to add autumn color to your landscape, choose your tree when it is young, and choose it in the fall. This way you can see in the sapling the color the leaves will turn year after year. In order to have the most brilliant foliage. remember that you have to have cool nights and warm sunny days such as exist in the New England states. The brighter the days in the fall, the more intense the reds and purples of the tree colors will be, while a lot of cloudy days will result in more orange or yellow tones being produced.

Get Involved in Horse Riding

There are now hundreds of thousands of people in the UK who go riding on a regular basis and once you have been on a horse and enjoyed the thrill of it, it's not hard to see why so many people are involved in the sport.

People get involved in horse riding for a huge variety of reasons. For some, it is simply a new challenge and a different way to spend their free time. For others it stems from a love of horses and a desire to own their own animal. The sport can be very rewarding and is an excellent way of keeping fit and enjoying exercise.

If you have never ridden before but fancy trying the sport then the best option is to go down to your local horse riding stables. You can find authorised businesses that will take you though all of the basics before giving you an introduction to riding such as how to mount an animal and how to hold the reigns properly. Getting these basic things right first of all is a very important step and will help you enormously when you get onto a horse for the first time. An approved riding school will give you the chance to try the sport in a safe and secure environment, free of pressure. Because they have experience of novice riders, the staff will know what you are feeling and will be able to spot any signs that you are not comfortable.

If you have not ridden before, then you may not appreciate just how dangerous a sport it really can be. You have to either know what you are doing, or else be with someone else who does. Things tend to start gently with some basic instruction before you even mount the horses. Once you progress, you will most likely be shown how to climb up onto a horse properly and then how to control the animal.

If the lessons go well then you might even get to the stage where you are considering buying your own animal. This is a big step and not one that you should undertake lightly. Owning a horse costs a significant amount of money and time and you should make sure you speak to plenty of professionals before making a decision.

Banana Boats

What Is It?

A banana boat is a small banana shaped boat that is pulled by a much larger boat. It is considered to be much safer than water skiing or many other recreational boats, because the bottom of the boat is supported by two air filled tubes that provide balance. Most banana boats seat approximately two to four people, they are fast moving and sit close to the water, making for a safe boat ride for people of all ages.

Banana boat is a favorite kids' boat, and can be bought in boat stores and online. But, the banana boat is not just simply a boat, it has been mentioned in movies like "jaws," and many other things such as a sunscreen lotion, a tasty campfire snack and it is even the name of a popular Polish quintet founded in 1994.

Safety on the Water

Banana boats are considered to be safe, but you should always practice proper safety when on any kind of boat, expectably when involving children. Life jackets should always be worn. The banana boat (sometimes called a water sled) is only a inflatable boat, and should not be used recklessly. While it is low to the water, it is sometimes prone to flipping over. In fact, most boaters enjoy getting a little wet. But because of its light weight, banana boat is easy to get back on, and enjoy!

Buying One?

A banana boat can be bought anywhere! It can be as simple as typing in a search engine online to find the right boat for you, or even browsing your local boat store for that perfect water sled. Banana boats come in all shapes and sizes - from the traditional banana shape to sharks, whales, hot dogs, and even rocket ships! They make for a fun ride for adults and children alike.

Buying online is a good choice when considering a banana boat for you and your family. Many websites even give you the option of buying online right from your home computer! The possibilities are endless and the fun never ends when you own your very own banana boat. Most boats range from two hundred dollars to fifteen hundred dollars depending on the size and brand. Typically, the more seats the boat has the higher the price range. And some banana boats come with double inflated tubes to fit two rows of people on each side of the boat. Some of the larger boats can hold up to 14 people at one time.

On Vacation With a Banana Boat

Many vacation spots provide banana boat rides for kids and adults for a reasonable price. But in some cases, it is just as easy to bring your own boat along with you on vacation. These boats are inflatable and easy to transport usually coming with a foot pump, for easy inflation. They are easy to attach to the back of a speed boat, yacht, or any other type of motorized boat. You should always watch the speed when children are involved, because the boat is so light weight and easy to flip over. As long as you keep the speed low and avoid sharp rocks that could damage the boat, you are on your way to a holiday fun.

How to Find a Good Lawyer in Pattaya, Thailand

Pattaya is a city on the North Gulf Coast of Eastern Thailand which attracts millions of tourist every year. Its name was originally "Thap Phraya" that stands for Army of the Phraya. Initially, the place was just a fishing village until the year 1961 when American servicemen began going there for relaxation. This dawned the Pattaya tourist industry that continually developed up until the present.

Pattaya authorities strictly monitor observance of Thai national laws and its own set of local rules and regulations. To avoid conflict with the Thai government business and property laws, many foreigners will hire a Pattaya lawyer to do the legal groundwork for them such us due diligence of the intended business purchase or registration, preparing the documentation for licensing and dealing with concerned Thai officials. Foreigners also hire a Pattaya attorney to conduct a title search before purchasing property or real estate in Thailand. Such steps are very sensible and practical, especially to foreigners who are not acquainted with the Thai laws.

A good lawyer in Pattaya can commonly be found in an older and well established law firm. A law firm is typically comprised of licensed Thailand lawyers who have joined an established firm in Pattaya to engage in the practice of law. Each lawyer will be specialized in a field practice such as Thailand Divorce, Thailand Company Registration & Corporate matters, and Pattaya Immigration and Work Permit. This structure enables the group to handle almost all type of cases brought to them by clients.

The best Thailand law firms in Pattaya can conveniently be sourced through the internet. Most popular and established law offices do the advertising of their legal services and their office locations on their legal websites. Moreover, these international law firms in Pattaya offer free consultations through emails and chat.

Small law firms are also available, however, the extent of services they render rarely match the leading international firms. A Pattaya lawyer in big law firms may cost you a little more but the quality service provided in return is going to be worth the fee.
