How to Find a Good Lawyer in Pattaya, Thailand

Pattaya is a city on the North Gulf Coast of Eastern Thailand which attracts millions of tourist every year. Its name was originally "Thap Phraya" that stands for Army of the Phraya. Initially, the place was just a fishing village until the year 1961 when American servicemen began going there for relaxation. This dawned the Pattaya tourist industry that continually developed up until the present.

Pattaya authorities strictly monitor observance of Thai national laws and its own set of local rules and regulations. To avoid conflict with the Thai government business and property laws, many foreigners will hire a Pattaya lawyer to do the legal groundwork for them such us due diligence of the intended business purchase or registration, preparing the documentation for licensing and dealing with concerned Thai officials. Foreigners also hire a Pattaya attorney to conduct a title search before purchasing property or real estate in Thailand. Such steps are very sensible and practical, especially to foreigners who are not acquainted with the Thai laws.

A good lawyer in Pattaya can commonly be found in an older and well established law firm. A law firm is typically comprised of licensed Thailand lawyers who have joined an established firm in Pattaya to engage in the practice of law. Each lawyer will be specialized in a field practice such as Thailand Divorce, Thailand Company Registration & Corporate matters, and Pattaya Immigration and Work Permit. This structure enables the group to handle almost all type of cases brought to them by clients.

The best Thailand law firms in Pattaya can conveniently be sourced through the internet. Most popular and established law offices do the advertising of their legal services and their office locations on their legal websites. Moreover, these international law firms in Pattaya offer free consultations through emails and chat.

Small law firms are also available, however, the extent of services they render rarely match the leading international firms. A Pattaya lawyer in big law firms may cost you a little more but the quality service provided in return is going to be worth the fee.

Festivities and Events of Pattaya, Thailand

If you are going to be traveling to Pattaya, Thailand anytime soon here are some events and festivities that you are sure to enjoy. Depending on what time of year you go depends on what festivities you can attend. Here are a few festivities and a short description on how they are celebrated.

Songkran and the Wan Lai Festival- Bring your swimming suit for this one!

On the days of 13-15th of April, people of the community come together for an outrageous event of celebrating the coming of the new year by the young dousing the elders hands with water (usually scented and always clean) in which the elders would then give them their blessings. Asking for forgiveness for bad deeds from the past years. Depending on which region you visit they all celebrate Songkran, but with slight differences. Some celebrate by bathing images of Buddha and preparing food for the monasteries and monks.

The Wan Lai (meaning flowing water day) Festival is a lot like Songkran, but it starts on the 16th and ends the 19th of April. They have religious activities, processions, showing their elders respect, and of course the throwing of water! Pattaya, Thailand is usually hot this time of year so it's an excellent way to cool off.

Pattaya Marathon - for competitors!

This event starts in July and features four different marathons. They have a full marathon, half-marathon, a quarter marathon, and a wheel chair marathon for those that are physically impaired, but still love to compete. It is an international event that attracts thousands from all over the world each year. They start this event early (usually 4-4:30am) because of the heat at that time of year. Despite the sweltering heat, spectators line the streets to cheer on their fellow competitors.

Chonburi Buffalo Races 'For one and all!

This event is centered around the water buffalo in the province of Chonburi in the month of October. The water buffalo are dressed in silk and satin then paraded around town to determine which one is the best decorated and healthiest animal. The races of the buffaloes are a spectacular site to behold. These huge beasts can run at amazing speeds for their massive size. There is also a beauty contest for the local young ladies and farm maidens as well. This is a popular event for both locals and tourist to enjoy.

So make sure to check these events out when you stay in Pattaya, Thailand. Not only are they are family friendly and entertaining, they are steeped in traditions and culture.

Pattaya Accommodation - From Low Budget Hotels to 5 Star Hotels

It is not difficult to find accommodation in Pattaya despite of what some travel agents overseas may want you to believe. Pattaya's hotel bookings are down 20-30% this year, compared to the previous year. Take advantage of that.

There is absolutely no shortage of Hotels from 5 Star to low budget in Pattaya and it is not difficult to find accommodation even without prior reservation. However, during high season it may become a little more difficult, but you will always find a hotel with vacant rooms.

Negotiate A Better Rate

You do not have to book in advance. The political unrest in Bangkok and the occupation of the 2 international airports in 2008 have put a large dent into the tourist business. Hotel bookings are down 20-30%! This means it will give you the opportunity to save money because you may be able to negotiate a better rate.

In order to negotiate a deal you will have to be in Pattaya.

My suggestion is to book a hotel in advance for the first couple of days, that way you do not have to go hunting for accommodation immediately after your long international flight. Room rates do change depending on the season, but there is always an abundance of hotels with room rates starting at around 500 Baht for the "Sawasdee Sunshine Hotel", and the high end is 8,000 Baht for the "Sigma Resort Jomtien Pattaya".

The quoted prices are high season rates and will be lower during off season. High season in Pattaya is from the end of November to Aril.

Use The Internet Hotel Search Engines

The internet makes it very easy these days to book a hotel online within minutes, if you decide to book online. The largest online search engines search over 30 booking sites and return almost 200 hotels listings with pictures, details, rating, location, popularity, and of course prices in just seconds.

This will give you a very good idea about how much you can expect to pay when you are in Pattaya. At times you may even be able to find a hotel online which offers a special deal or runs a promotional offer. These do exist, even in Pattaya. Knowing very well that many Pattaya visitors only stay for 3-7 days, it may be best to book online or with a travel agency in your home town.

For the single male visitor it may be fine and maybe of an advantage to book a hotel in Pattaya City. I have seen families book a hotel in south Pattaya and not being overly happy about the location. Families are best advised to read about Pattaya first before making a decision on where to stay in Pattaya. Jomtien and Naklua, the neighboring beach towns may be a better option because they are family friendlier.

Let's not forget, Pattaya is and has been foremost a single male destination for the past 4 decades. The Nightlife that Pattaya offers and the literally hundreds of adult entertainment venues speak for themselves.

Pattaya Apartments - How to Find the Right Apartment

Get to know Pattaya before you rent an apartment in Pattaya for long term. Rent a Motorbike or scooter and explore Pattaya for a few days if you are new to Pattaya. Visit as many areas as you can. You will see which areas you like and which areas fit your budget if you are on a budget.

Most Apartment complexes won't rent to you for less than 3 - 6 months during high season. You want to make sure you like the area that you will be living in. There are as many apartments in Pattaya as there are grains of sand on the beaches in Pattaya.

You will find very large apartment complexes with hundreds of apartments and you will find smaller buildings with 10, 20 or 30 units. You will see so-called serviced apartments which mean nothing more than "ready to move in".

Bring a notepad along and take notes of the areas you like most. Stop by apartment complexes and find the owner, manager or management office. The manager will most likely speak some English.

Talk to tenants and find out if they like living there and if they know about issues, if any. Once you found and narrowed down on an apartment, visit the apartment and area during different times of the day and night. This is important! This is Thailand. You don't want to find out about bars that stay open all night right on your doorstep after you paid your rent and your deposit.

Standard deposit is usually one month rent, but it may be a little bit more than that if there will be a cleaning fee when you move out. Rents vary from as little as 3,500 Baht to 10's of thousands a month depending on size, location, furniture, whether it has a kitchen or not and much more.

Apartments for less than 3500 Baht a month may not be suitable for most westerners. I have seen very nice and clean apartments for 3,500 Baht and I have seen not so nice ones for 10,000 Baht. For 10,000 Baht a month you should be able to rent a very nice 1 room studio style Apartment with a good kitchen and nice furniture.

Understand how much you will be paying for water and electricity. I have heard of low rents but extremely high charges for water and power. Make sure you write down the water and power reading when you move in. Get a copy of the apartment rules if one is available.

Other Things To Consider :

Check that the power works including light fixtures
Check there is water in kitchen, bath, and shower
Do you need Air Conditioning?
Do the windows have screens?
Is there safe parking?
Make your list...

Pattaya is not your normal kind of city. It is a party town in many areas and when you choose to rent an apartment you may want to check out the vicinity during daytime and nighttime. Are there any bars close by? Bars can be fun for someone coming to visit Pattaya for a short time. Bars may not be so much fun if you have one in your backyard. Bars in Pattaya oftentimes stay open 24/7.

The Pattaya Bible

Often described as the "Pattaya Bible" Neil Hutchinson's "Money Number One" is the flagship of his collection of very humorous stories and insights into life and the interrelationships between the average male visitor and the bar ladies of Thailand.

The books in the series including "A Fool In Paradise" "The Fool is Back" and "A Fools Diary" are a collage of short stories about the sometimes hilarious, sometimes tragic antics of what many of the male visitors to Thailand have experienced in their dealings with these lovely creatures, and are a MUST READ for all who wish to cast fate to the wind to enjoy the pleasures offered by these delectable ladies.

In reading the books I realized that while the books are truly a great introduction to life in "SIN CITY" they also teach something of the culture of this beautiful country and it's equally beautiful people.

Thailand is steeped in Buddhism which becomes obvious to the first time visitor on arrival by the number of Monks seen daily almost everywhere in the streets and the amount of "Wats" (Monasteries) sprinkled through out the country.

Like all countries which have a dominant religion, many of the Thais are willing to "bend the rules" somewhat in order to be able to survive in a country which has no dole queues or free handouts from the government as many of the Western societies have.

They are also extremely family orientated. Most of the bar ladies are supporting at least one child and quite often a Thai husband.

It's the Thai girl's duty to support her parents financially and who, quite often will be raising the lady's child or children in a village somewhere in the North or South of the country.

While the North West is dominated by Chiang Mai, the North East also boasts several big cities including Udon Thani and Kon Kaen which has one the largest universities in the country.

Chiang Mai is the cultural centre where much of the "arts and crafts" seen being sold in the many markets found in every major city are manufactured and is also the area in which much of the countries fruit and vegetables are grown

The North West is often called Issarn and the predominant language spoken is actually a version of Lao. It becomes confusing to the traveler who has taken the time to learn a few words of Thai, when his new found love meets a friend or family member and starts to speak a totally different language.

However ninety percent of the girls in Pattaya can speak sufficient English for the tourist to be able to enjoy a very pleasant interlude with them and indeed many tourists find themselves married to a Thai lady and raising a family.

In the "Money Number One"series Neil also offers the reader an insight into some of the customs practiced by these people who we of the west tend to find very strange indeed and are often in complete contrast to our Christian upbringing and can sometimes be seen as even repugnant to some.

Neil Hutchinson has written the books from his own experiences and those of others who have visited Pattaya, however the same principals apply to all the areas of Thailand which supports beer bars ,go-go bars etc and even some that don't.

The "Money Number One" series can now be purchased online in PDF format for instant download.

Walking Street - Pattaya

What is it, where is it? What's there? Walking Street lies at the southern end of beach road (Soi 1) It is the main beer bar entertainment area in Pattaya and is a must see, if only once!

Primarily it caters for the single male visitor, however couples often are drawn to this amazing place by its bright lights and numerous disco's such as Lucifer, Insomnia, and Tony's. Not only are there some great discos but there are many places to see live bands, Utopia bar (Thaitans of rock) Blues factory and torus. If you like your music, Walking Street is the place to be.

Walking Street is not only for the party seeker. There are some fantastic restaurants serving fresh fish, crab and lobster. There are tailor shops that can make you a suite in just a few days for a fraction of the price you would pay in your own country. (Unless you are from Thailand or course) There are ice cream parlours, Pizzerias and gift shops galore.

Beer bars make up the majority of the area but if you are feeling you want to see something different why not try one of the many Gogo bars that are found along the Street or smaller Soi's that lead from Walking Street itself. Beer prices will be more expensive but that's the price you pay for watching very scantily clad young ladies dance around silver poles. Possibly for the less inhibited or drunk male?

Recently Walking Street as seen a rise in street entertainers too. Excellent magicians, contortionists, break dancers, football skill demonstrations, and of course Thai Kick Boxing. Although it's called Walking Street, it's a great place to just sit and enjoy a drink, there's always something going on to see.

Pattaya City Belongs to Everyone!

I'm sitting here in my apartment house in Pattaya is a struggle to write what is perhaps the 32nd Celsius outside (late August), with a gentle breeze. I have a choice if you want to write this article, 50m walk, go swimming in the pool or a lazy stroll on the beach 80m. In all honesty, I'd rather stay here and the wonders of Pattaya with you, then I'll work for lunch one or two hours before he did for a bite.

Pattaya. For those of you who do notknow, Pattaya is located around 120 km ( 75 miles ) / 90 minutes from Bangkok, in the province of Chonburi. This beautiful city lies on the East coast of the Gulf of Thailand; a true city of the Eastern Seabord. A cosmopolitan town that has grown from a coastal village favoured by the American Forces for much needed R & R ( Rest & Relaxation ). Pattaya is now a city with millions of inhabitants, a sizable proportion of whom are International ExPats.

In the North is Pattaya Nua where you will find high-rise condominiums and family orientated hotels, most of which have direct access to semi-private areas of beach. In the centre is the retail area where just about anything can be purchased if you're prepared to look for long enough. Here you will find, amongst others, Central Festival Shopping Plaza, a large Mall that caters to locals, Tourists and ExPats alike. I've travelled fairly extensively and would say that this mall is as good as any that I've seen in a mid-size city. Condominiums are something that most foreigners purchase in Thailand as the law states that there are up to 49% foreign ownership allowed in a building. Many foreigners also use the name of their company to purchase a house, land or commercial listings as the law states that only a Thai name or a Limited company may purchase these properties. Many of the agencies in Pattaya will be Delighted to give you advice on the city's Real Estate.

Further South is what is considered a selected area, the hill of Pratamnak, now home to some tasteful low rise (no more than 7 floors) developments. On the hill, the two adjacent peaks, the Naval Station is seen from where you will find a beautiful view along the coast and islands. Also on the second summit, see what the locals called "Big Buddha" - a Buddhist shrine and a tourist attraction, surrounded by a beautiful park and exerciseStructures.

South Jomtien is a stretch of public beach available, which stretches for miles and miles. On the opposite side of Beach Road are Sois (roads), the home of local suppliers, hotels, massage shops, hotels, etc., in fact, a city Jomtien could be considered in isolation.

The main north-south street called Sukhumvit is located several kilometers in the country. The area east of these contains a number of different developments, from smallclusters of (or individual) villas, to walled and gated villages. Golf is big in this part of Thailand and there are many Country Clubs and golfing venues that cater to this. I'm told that the attraction is that this area is quieter and subject to less hustle and bustle than city living on the coastal side of Sukhumvit, but with easy access to the Super-Stores on Sukhumvit Road (we have a Tesco Lotus, Big C and Carrefour to name the big three) and an extra 10 minutes to get to the beaches.

Attractions

O.K. Let's get one issue out of the way. You tell your friends/relatives that you're going to Pattaya and their immediate reaction is, "But, that's the sex capitol of Asia!". My reply to this is "Amsterdam is the sex capital of Europe, but has much to offer in the way of culture and tourist attractions, that are not sex related." Yes, if you want Adult Entertainment, Pattaya and its environment have much to offer. There are also plenty of other Attractions such as the Sanctuary of Truth, Mini Siam, Tiger Zoo, Elephant Safari, Jet Ski, Safari Submarine, Black Hills Winery, the floating market, Nong Nooch Tropical Gardens ... and the list is endless.

Food

There is literally something for everyone. If you fancy a bag of fried insects, one of the vendors we are pleased to offer this. Most malls have a food court, where a selection of dishes you can get money for surprisingly little. Onthe time of writing, I get 50 Baht for a British Pound (GBP) or 30 Baht for a US dollar; in the food court at Central Festival Plaza I can get a main course meal and a drink for less than 150 Baht (£3 / $5). From a Street vendor I can get a snack meal for 20 to 30 Baht, or an entire barbecued chicken for only 120 Baht. If you want to spend more, there are a plethora of mid-range and upscale restaurants to choose from anywhere in the city.

Whatever you're looking for, you'll likely find it here in Pattaya; and it will probably be affordable!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go for a gentle stroll along the promenade, and perhaps grab a bite of lunch with a great sea view.

Pattaya Budget Hotels For Short and Long Term Stay

One of the most popularly visited cities in Thailand is located on the eastern gulf called Pattaya. Just a two hour bus ride away Pattaya is most well known as the 'poor man's' beach-side resort because of the abundance of budget hotel choices located throughout the city. And some of Pattaya's most affordable accommodations are even right on the beach. But there are a few things you should know before you go ahead and reserve a room at a cheap hotel.

When is the best time to book a hotel in Pattaya for the best deals?

The low season which is from March to early November brings heavy rain quite frequently. The heat index is way higher as well especially when the high humidity kicks in from the tropics. But most don't mind it because room rates during the low season are slashed from 20% to 40%, making it an ideal time to save some money.

Pattaya Hotels that cost around Baht 500 per night? Are they worth it?

Baht 500 is roughly $15 US dollars and there are many hotels in Pattaya charging around that price range. And suffice to say being so cheap makes any hotel charging that much extremely popular with travelers from all over the world. The only thing is that a room with that price normally doesn't include air conditioning, just a fan. To some it's a big deal. To others not so big. But Pattaya does get very hot and the heat lingers on into the night which makes it difficult to sleep. At least for me personally. A room with air conditioning in the same hotel will usually cost just Baht 100 more.

Here are a few names of popular hotels in the Baht 500 price range:

Sawasdee Sabai
Sawasdee Sunshine
Sawasdee Sea View (right by Pattaya Beach)

It goes without saying, the quality of those hotels are not the greatest. And most of the cheap accommodations in the city include a very simple breakfast with the room if that's and consolation. But if all you need is a clean bed, a hot shower and be in a location right in the heart of all the activity such as the red light district, beach and shopping then those hotels are perfect for short term stay. If you can afford to spend a bit more you'll notice a major difference in room quality if you pay double.

Here are a few names of hotels that cost Baht 1000 and really well worth the money:

Sunshine Hotel and Residence
Eastiny Inn
Sabai Lodge

Accommodations that usually charge that much offer a decent buffet breakfast with the room and some even provide swimming pools and a small fitness center. Air conditioning is included of course. It's a perfect choice for anyone planning to stay in the area for longer periods of time in comfort.

Pattaya - Meaning South West Monsoon Wind

The city of Pattaya is located along the Gulf of Thailand, on its East Coast. This tourist city plays host to more than 5.4 million visitors, with many high rise skyscrapers and a reputation as a city that never sleeps. It was during the 1960s that Pattaya began to focus on tourism as opposed to fishing for its inhabitants' livelihood. There is also a large expat community in Pattaya, many from the UK and from Russia. Thai people from Bangkok escaped the worst of the heat and pollution in their capital city by recognizing the benefits of the sea air and began holidaying here. Pattaya became a recognized beach resort for many of the servicemen stationed at U-Tapao, the US base in Rayong province, during the Vietnam War with the result that Pattaya acquired a rather suspect reputation. As the Vietnam War came to a conclusion and the servicemen were shipped home, Pattaya lost its identity, resurrected later when it came to be put on the tourist map during the era of mass tourism.

Pattaya remained a haunt for single men seeking out local girls, a reputation that has remained until quite recently when the Thai Government began to legislate against the lucrative sex industry, attempting to make Pattaya a respectable place for families to bring their children on holiday. Petty crime and pollution remained rife, despite the Pattaya City Act which appointed a local Council-Manager to oversee the self-administrating municipality - an act which did not particularly find favour with the local residents of Pattaya. In 2008 the Thai Government imposed a restriction on alcohol sales designed to stop the 24-hour image portrayed abroad, with the intention of greatly limiting the continuing sex industry that continued to grow.

Family tourism has, however, developed despite its suspect reputation, with 35,000 hotel rooms being available for tourism during 2005 and families from the Eastern European countries and from Scandinavia finding Pattaya a place they enjoyed holidaying in.

Apart from the famous sweep of Pattaya Beach, there is a huge range very beautiful scenery. A visit to Mae Hong Son mountains is absolutely delightful, with its breathtaking scenery. If you fancy a change of beachfront there is always a trip to the Andaman Islands, limestone islands thrust up from the Andaman Sea. With Thai music and dance, the food and the architecture you will be really spoiled for choice and find you will want to return to Pattaya again and again.

Pattaya Girlfriend Experience

Pattaya is located in Thailand and is 145km south of Bangkok. Pattaya used to be a small fishing village but during the Vietnam War in the 1960's the US Air force and other service men used it for R&R creating a boom. In recent years Pattaya has grown considerably in size with some half a million people living there and experienced a considerable boom in tourism. Today Pattaya gets close to 5 million visitors per year and has in excess of 300,000 people living there.

Many of the male visitors to Pattaya go there to have no strings attached fun with plans to pick up as many girls as possible. However, there are some other guys who go to find that special lady with whom they will spend their entire vacation.

They want to experience that feeling of being in a relationship while they are on their holiday and to be treated as someone special. This is actually an illusion because while the lady will treat him as if he were special and pay lots of attention to him, it is merely an act which both parties are happy to partake in for deferring reasons.

You never really know when or where you will meet that special girl, however it is recommend looking in the beer bars as opposed to the go go bars as the beer bar girls are more likely to have a better attitude in comparison to go go girls.

Now, many of the girls come to Pattaya in search of a western husband and many of the guys also come to Pattaya searching for love and therefore on many occasions, what starts as a relationship based on an illusion can quickly turn into reality with both the guy and girl forming real emotions and feelings for each other.

When this happens, typically the guy and his Pattaya girlfriend will arrange for her to stop working the bars and on his return to his home country will keep in regular touch by email and phone calls. The guy will most likely have to send money to support her while their relationship blossoms with plans to eventually bring her back to his home country to marry and settle down.

The illusion can be very powerful and sometimes one may not be certain about what is an illusion and what is real, as the line between the two is pretty thin. So thread carefully because while many become real, others remain in illusion mode and it can be difficult to tell the difference between the illusion of a girl friend experience and a real Pattaya girlfriend!

If you do end up crossing that line then try to take things slow, make sure she is someone you would really like to spend the rest of your life with. Have a plan and set goals for the both of you. Read everything you can about Thai girls and the Thai culture. Though it may be difficult, try to learn to speak Thai. All these will be of great benefit if your relationship is going to work.

There are many differences between the Western and Thai culture and without reading and learning about why things are done a certain way you may eventually drift apart due to a lack of understanding and what started as a promising relationship ends to cultural misunderstandings.

If you are secretly a romantic at heart but not looking to settle down and not looking for complications from your holiday, then it may be best in your best interest to avoid seeking that illusion of a relationship as while it can be fun and enjoyable, it is also very powerful and addictive with the potential of real emotions forming with a real Pattaya Girlfriend.

Travelling in Pattaya - Songthaew

Otherwise known as the baht bus, they are essentially nothing but the pickups, which were converted into buses to transport the tourist spots around the city from several attractions and is from their hotel in Pattaya. While other cities have Tuk-tuk in Thailand as a form of transport, most cities do not exist outside of a privately owned, some examples that can take and go outside the hotel, take Pattayawhere you want to go all over the city.

There are about 800-1000 in operation around Pattaya, all blue and easily recognizable Songthaews dark. While the official price is five baht for trips within the city are expecting even more like a stranger in the light of the fact that they are paying a significant difference between the rate of local rates and foreign rates. Although you may not need to know the exact exchange, may reduce the potential for troubleMinimum, how can you go at times in both drivers do not expect to switch to another provider somewhere along the way to run the exact exchange. Flat rates apply only when the bus operates as a method of public transport, so if you have a vacuum that was parked and is on the road to see, could be falsely attributed to the driver the impression that you are looking to rent a whole songthaew to travel around the City and Pattaya hotelsIf you do, you could pay much more, depending on your negotiating skills.

The most popular route is the circuit from the beach in Pattaya Hotels in this area from the junction of Second Road and South Pattaya Road and north along Second Avenue to the Dolphin Circle roundabout, then along the entire length of Beach Road, before the Middle heads along South Pattaya Road to complete the circuit. Transport in Pattaya

Locomotion

In Pattaya the most fun in and around Walking Street and Soi in or around Beach Road and Second Road Soi Baukhao. It 's very easy to get around in Pattaya with transport operates 24 hours a day.

Baht Bus

Baht buses run 24 hours a day and usually run up and down Beach Road and the second path, both one-way streets in the opposite direction. At a baht bus to wave your armyou stop and just jump on the back of the bus. Once you arrive at your destination is to press a buzzer-baht bus, the driver must come down and pay him or her 10bht. The baht buses are shared, so there's always hope for people in and out regularly.

You can also BHT-bus for a private trip. This usually costs about 100-150bht depending on the distance of travel. arrest of a private hire baht is an empty bus, tell theDriver where to go and negotiate the price in advance. Negotiations on the price in advance is important because being able to otherwise, the bus driver BHT demand an inordinate amount of money at the time of arrival of the result.

Motorcycle taxi

Here you can find motorcycle taxi at the top, middle and bottom of almost all the SOI (round) 24 hours a day. There may be times when a motorcycle taxi is always cheaper than a baht bus. Prices vary depending on howand away you go from 20 80bht depending on destination.

I always recommend that you negotiate the price in advance with a taxi driver could not ride bikes as 40bht 100bht contact us at your destination if they do not. They refuse to pay, and you might end up getting into a fight and hit and fight in Thailand is not something that is done here, as almost always a no win situation. See later in this guide.

Rent a bike

If you want toYou can rent a motorbike in Pattaya for a day, a week or even monthly basis. There are bike rental shops throughout Pattaya and all you have to do is a lot after you choose a bike will give you a copy of your passport to the store to take a picture to pay for the bike and collect a receipt. Do not let the store owner to hold your passport.

Personally, I would not recommend renting a motorbike in Pattaya for security reasons. streets of Thailand, the guideSkills and safety measures is received nothing from the locals, as in your country and there are many road accidents involving motorcycles that day for injuries and deaths.

If you choose a bike, I suggest you check it would work a major overhaul of the body and to ensure that any scratch or mark is in receipt of your note or you may find you have been asked to scratch, this has had to pay ' rent before they took off the bike.

Helmets: Always wear yourOld or you find yourself stopped by traffic police and always told to pay a fine of 400bht.

Insurance: In addition, there is no insurance for motorcycles for hire so if you damage the bike somehow lucky, you will need, the cost of any repairs are those that this ratio tends to be very highly magnified, if not actual damages are i an honest seller.

Car Hire

This is not advisable or even practical for a holidayPattaya, as you can literally walk or jump on a baht bus or motorcycle taxi to get anywhere. However, if you want to see, renting a car for the bike rental shops include car hire shops throughout Pattaya.

Pattaya Lofts - Urban Living could be an attractive option in the Thai Premier Resort City

Growing up in the northeast grew up and went to school and spent most of my adult life working in places like Boston, New York and Washington, DC, I have a strong affinity for urban lifestyle. When I moved to Thailand in order, I was initially looking option Pattaya, lofts, but found nothing "out of the box", which was suitable.

I love in the heart of things, just a short walk or drive to restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. Stylistically, Ialways found lofts with high ceilings, large windows and spacious rooms with plenty of wall space to fit my pictures better suited to my lifestyle.

During my first three years in Pattaya, I lived in an apartment building on Wongamat Beach. This is a fantastic building with views over the beautiful and tranquil lifestyle. But I discovered that most of the time I spent with friends in town for dinner, drinks and coffee. I'm not a great Beachcomber, and because of the limited timeHome does not fully exploit the wonderful view.

I decided it was time to go in an urban environment. My best years in terms of lifestyle, were in a walk-up in a brownstone building lived in one of the hottest Boston. And when I visited in New York, I tend to stay in boutique hotel style loft in SOHO. This was the look and feel after they have been here in Pattaya, and I was determined to find it.

After reviewing different condominium in the cityloft in Pattaya offer were unavailable. I found my best option was a store house in one of the newest areas directly south of Pattaya on Third Street. The surrounding area is full of boutique hotels, restaurants and shops. Ethnic is a refreshing blend of Thai and foreign nationals vary. It offers easy access to beach, shopping Walking Street, the rest of Pattaya and Jomtien.

Once I solved the neighborhood, I began to lookproperties. The commercial building, which I have selected a 3-story walk-up of about 150 square meters. After a pretty intense negotiation, I have come to an agreement with the owner of a lease with option to buy. The lease is 3 years with two renewal terms of three years. They are able to exercise the purchase option at any time during the first 3 years.

I was very proud of my negotiating skills. I not only negotiate rent for the first 18 months are discounted, but the owner has agreed to the upper floor tilesand install showers in the bathroom second and third floors. The owner has completed the work as agreed, and then I took possession of the building.

This is when the fun began. I discovered that the water does not reach the upper floors. I suggested to the owner because they had decided to install showers, it was implied that the water would be available to it functional. Suffice it to say, you do not see it my way. Some 16,000 Thai Baht (THB) after I had a pump, hoses, aWater tank and running water.

After the installation of air conditioning, lighting and takes care of other issues relating to infrastructure, I asked a contractor to fit the room. I was determined to get a good price, so I decided to find a Thai-builder. Office with my boss as a translator and pictures from the Internet for the style that was to show, discussing prices and product specifications for the job. You probably heard horror stories of other foreigners working with the Thai customers, butMy experience has always been very positive. The most important factor is the increasingly detailed plans and rates for the job.

The finished product includes a contemporary living, dining area and kitchen on the second floor. Features include large ceramic tiles, kitchen cabinets and the island of bright white room, silver mosaic tiles, white walls and lighting designer. There is additional space on this floor as a second bedroom, a playroom or storage.

The secondFrom the ground with white tiled floors, fitted wardrobes and a king custom light cherry. E 'was more space that could be used to massage at home, a home office or even more space.

A few things need some reworking (Thais are very inventive error correction), and we made some changes on the fly. But in general, except for leaving a mess behind them and some minor flaws, I was excited by the quality and value, I have mineContractor.

If you're like me and Loft Pattaya your lifestyle choice, you can avoid a lot of wasted time, frustration and additional costs if you work on the project with a professional quality that has the experience and contacts to provide.
